Vital Points or Pressure
Points (Kuep Soh in Korean)
|
Name |
Location |
Method Of Attack
or Use |
|
Gall Bladder 25 |
At the inferior
border of the free end of the 12th or floating rib on the
back. This point is just at the tip of the smaller of the two
floating ribs. |
This is the
alarm point for the kidney meridian and should not be struck in
practice. |
|
Liver 3 |
In the
depression between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal
bones. This point can be found on the top of the foot, between the
two bones leading to the big and 2nd toes. |
Press or strike
this point diagonally downward. |
|
Gall Bladder 41 |
In the
depression just in front of the merging of the 4th and 5th
metatarsal bones. Just in front of the bulge on the top of the foot.
|
Stomp this
point, or if shoeless strike this point with a single knuckle. |
|
Tanden Cluster
Conception Points 3-6 |
Known as the
“KI” center. Along the centerline, just below the belly button.
There are 4 points located very close together. CO-6 is the main
point and the other 3 points are alarm points for other meridians. |
Strike these
points either diagonally upward or downward to incapacitate the
opponent. |
|
Gall Bladder 24 |
At the medial
margin of the rib cage on the opponents right side of their rib cage
at the merging of the 7th and 8th costal
cartilage. |
Strike this
point diagonally up and in. This can effect both yin points (liver
and spleen) and yang points (gallbladder and bladder) at the same
time. |
|
Spleen 6 |
Located between
the posterior margin of the tibia and the soleus muscle. Above the
knob on the ankle on the inside of the leg about midway between the
prominence of the ankle and the lower edge of the calf muscle. |
Kick this point
with a rising motion to rob the leg of energy. The kidney, liver and
spleen meridians cross at this point. |

Fighting of Ryukyu Kempo" by George Dillman)
